No matter if you have a lost dog, cat, horse, cattle, goat, or even a squirrel, we can help! Thermal drones can find pets that other means of searching cannot. Despite urban or rural adversities, we will give you our best effort to find your pet. We’ve lost pets too and we sympathize with you in a time of sorrow. We strive to offer our service at a reasonable price to lessen the burden during this time. If we are not successful, we will help in every way possible to reunite you with your pet long after our aerial search has ended. Posting on facebook, flyer design, etc. You ask and we will do!
How we operate
When we make contact with the pet owner, we will collect as much information as possible regarding last sighting, leash/no leash, address, and direction. We will then confirm that the location provided is within operable UAV airspace, and dispatch an operator from either Raleigh or Fayetteville, NC. When we arrive, we will prepare our station and launch the drone. We will walk the drone at a slow cruise speed while we monitor for heat signatures captured by a Thermal-Infrared (TIR) camera. When we come across a heat signature, we will switch to the conventional multispectral RGB camera and see if its your pet. For nocturnal recoveries we will use a 1800 lumen spotlight for RGB camera confirmation. Urban recoveries will only take place during the day. Moving takeoff locations to search a larger area is often required.
Pricing
Pet recovery pricing does not have a set rate. There are many variables that we have to take into consideration regarding terrain, liability, distance, and time. Pet recovery searches can often take several hours to complete. When we make contact, a representative will formulate a quote for a set area search. We currently accept Cash, Checks, Venmo, Zelle and CashApp.
How Can I Help Others? The story is far from over if we cannot find a missing pet. Food stations with game cameras are widely successful and can narrow down the search area. Currently, Thermal Bird LLC cannot afford to purchase and distribute game cameras in search of missing pets. You can help! Our Pet Recovery Amazon Wishlist is linked below. Several camera packages are linked below. Photo quality increases as megapixel count increases. For example, a 16MP non-cellular camera can certainly get the job done but a 32MP camera may be the difference from identifying a small dog from similar wildlife. Spartan cellular trail cameras are a blessing but they are expensive. These cameras send images to cell phones which gives us real time updates. The Gocam is excellent but it doesn’t have livestream capabilities like the Golive. Anything you can do will help us more than you know.
